Sims 4 Jungle Adventure offers several exotic places to live in, face challenges and new dangers, and much more. It allows the sims to explore the large jungles of Selvadorada and venture into the unknown.
But it’s always best if you’re aware of what to expect and this article would act as a guide for the simmers who are new to this entire concept.
There are numerous features in the gameplay that your sim would experience as they progress in the game. Its storyline is unique and offers simmers a chance to take a break from the hustle of city life and enjoy nature.
About Selvadorada: Sims 4 Jungle Adventure
Sims 4 has just opened its new vacation spot, Selvadorada, and you can access it by booking a vacation on your sim’s phone. You can stay in the community lots while you’re here, or there’s the option of jungle villas as well.
You can visit the museum, bar, or national park and socialize with other vacationers. You can explore the waterfalls, bridges, passageways, natural pools, fishing spots, a plane crash site, and much more. Unlike the Granite Falls, this place is much more accessible.
Selvadorada is full of culture, so it might be good to learn more about it as the information might help you on your jungle adventure. For instance, if you talk to locals, it’d increase your cultural skill. Your sim can try new food, listen to new music, and learn new recipes.
Your sim’s experience would be quite unique here as they would be immersed in the culture of this place, and the locals would also be willing to spread their cultural knowledge.
How to Explore Jungle Sims 4
This jungle adventure guide will help you know all about this new game pack and what all it has in store for you.
Bring Supplies –
One of the foremost things that your sim would need when venturing into the jungle is to get their own supplies. The “Outdoor Retreat” feature offers sims a tent to sleep in, which is a huge help, but they still need food to survive.
So your sim can carry sack lunches or harvested fruits to sustain themselves. As for the tents, it’s not a necessity because they can sleep in bushes as well, and satisfy their bladder needs there itself to gain energy.
If your sim’s hygiene is compromised or if they are set on fire, then they’d get into an awful mood. Therefore, they must visit Puerto Llamante Marketplace, which is a small settlement where you can buy a bottle of the waterfall from a stand near a bar in the market.
You can buy other emergency items from there as well that would protect your sims from spoiling their mood. To buy the items, click on them to form a purchase queue, and make sure to get a machete, fire foam, and antidotes if possible. The items would change a few times during the day.
It’d be excellent if you bought two or more machetes because they’ll help you during your adventure in the jungle. It’d cost you 120 simoleans, but it’d be worth it. Even if you lose or break one of them while clearing the woods, at least you’ll have one to spare.
As for the fire foam, you don’t want your sim to die because of your failed trap that caused a fire, do you? When it comes to antidotes, they are rare but can save your sim’s life, so if you find one, get it!
Your supplies should also consist of a repellent because the jungle is home to several insects, and they could attack your sim anytime. A repellent would prevent your sim from receiving a negative moodlet when attacked because they might not continue the adventure if they get too uncomfortable.
Also, they’d gain a happy moodlet because the repellent saved them from danger. The bats and bees aren’t as dangerous but can cause inconvenience to your sim. However, if you do encounter a Fire Bat Bait, then protect yourself because they might set your sim on fire.
Where to Begin the Jungle Adventure –
It might be difficult to begin your journey without any knowledge of the starting point. Selvadorada is a huge place, surrounded by jungle, so it’s best if your sim starts from Belomisia Trailhead, which is on the western side of the travel screen in Selvadorada.
Once they reach there, they should search for places with overgrown brambles. Now your sim can use their machete to clear the area. But if you didn’t take our advice of buying one, then they can use their hands to complete the task, but it’ll exhaust them.
You won’t always find something of value after clearing the area, and it might even lead to a new area at times. Even though you won’t have to worry about the loading screens, your sims would need to go through the gateway arches to travel from one area to another by foot.
If you get stuck, then you can use the overhead camera to go back and even see brambles that were out of your sight to clear them as well.
Things to Look for –
As you make progress in the jungle and keep moving forward, you’d come across several things, such as –
1. Bramble Covered Gateways
These gateways would lead your sim to another area where they might discover interesting items or hidden locations like the Omiscan Royal Baths. You might even get a “choose your own adventure pop-up” while accessing these locations, so if your sims have the required skills, they might be successful in those tasks, such as helping animals or escaping dangers. One unit of your supply would be used up, though.
2. Treasure Chests
Sometimes, sims might not notice a treasure chest hidden in plain sight because of the trees covering them, so it’d be a good idea to move the camera around to reveal these objects.
3. Dig Sites
Some of the most valuable items are hidden deep under the ground and are only accessible if your sim digs that area using their Archaeology skill. The archaeology table allows your sim to examine the items they dig out and verify their quality and value.
Simmers might acquire bone dust at times, which would help save a sim if they are poisoned. They can give the bone dust to the shopkeeper in exchange for the antidote. You can find this under the social menu. These mystical relics might also contain a blessing or a curse, and you can use them for your benefit.
4. Tree of Emotion
The berries of this tree would help sims pass the Hidden Omiscan Temple’s tests. These berries are limited in number, though.
5. Omiscan Royal Bath
You might find this secret place behind the gateways, and if your sim swims in the bath, they’ll feel rejuvenated.
The Temple –
If your sim has all the necessary supplies, then they won’t face any problems in finding the temple within a day. All they have to do is stay observant and check out every gateway. All the obstacles that you might face along the way won’t let you stray from your path with the right supplies. The location of the temple isn’t permanent, so that you can find them anywhere in the jungle.
Extra Features –
Your sim can enjoy several other features as well, such as two new area-related aspirations known as “Jungle Explorer” and “Archaeology Scholar.” and two lot traits: Creepy Crawlies and Peace & Quiet. You’ll also come across new fishes and three more harvestables. Your sim can befriend the skeletons in the jungle if they feel too lonely.
Skeletons are a temporary life state and NPC that are commonly found in temples. They might scare the simmers or act as helpers that can do household chores and look after the children. Your sims can summon these NPCs through a rare relic or even become one using a different relic. These skeletons don’t have bladder, hunger, energy, or hygiene needs.
Fill a Museum with Treasures –
There are so many treasures and valuable items in Selvadorada that your sim can fill an entire museum in town with it or build a new one. The two types of artifacts that your sims would encounter are Ancient Omiscan Artifacts and Omiscan Treasures, which are valuable and display-worthy.
The items that you display in the museum could make you a famous archaeologist in the world if you have the Get Famous pack. But it’s essential to examine each item because some of them might be fake.
Build a Vacation Home or Temple –
The build/buy catalog in this game pack is divided into two distinct categories. On the one hand, you can create a jungle-themed temple with all the decor items on walls, floors, and pillars related to that theme.
You can make your themed temple as well to stay or explore. However, if you don’t want to stay in a temple, then you can stay in a villa-style vacation home with a modern kitchen and other luxuries. If you have the Island Living pack, then the items in it can be used as well.
Create A Sim Clothing –
Your sim’s clothes are quite comfortable and basic, so they can wear them in the jungle and as everyday clothes as well. If you want to get the right vibe while hiking or exploring the wilderness, then these clothes are your best bet, and they’d be an excellent addition to your catalog as well.
Conclusion
Now you simmers are fully equipped to enter the Sims 4 Jungle Adventure if you follow our guide to the T. There are fewer chances of you getting lost or confused while exploring the unknown.
So get ready with your backpacks full of necessary supplies, and enjoy this new world that has opened for you.
