Traits

You can change the sexual orientation, but you can add these traits to your sim to make their sexuality befitting the trait’s name. When you add these sexuality traits to a sim, they will immediately receive an In the Close trait. Additional files also prevent sims from being uncomfortable around trans sims. We will cover these below.

• Ally – A person who is a straight or heterosexual person who supports LGTBQ, equal rights, and more
• Aromantic – The person does not feel any romantic interest toward any person
• Asexual – A person who has no interest in any sexual act
• Bisexual – A person whose attraction is not limited to someone’s gender
• Demisexual – A person who can only have sexual connections with the people with who they have developed an emotional connection with
• Gay – A person who likes the same gender, used popularly for men liking men
• Gender Fluid – A person who does not have a fixed gender
• Lesbian – A homosexual person, popularly denoted as girls loving girls
• LGBT Activist – An activist who fights for the rights of the LGBT
• Non-Binary – A person who does not necessarily associate with their gender during the time of birth
• Pansexual – These people are not limited to biological gender or do have a gender-related identity
• Transgender – A person’s identity does not match with their birth sex
• Drag Queen – A male who has a feminine attire and dresses like it
• Questioning – A person who is not sure of their sexual orientation

Interactions

You can have the following interactions with the sims if you make their traits LGBTQ; here is a list below. You can find these interactions when interacting with another sim using the LGBT mod menu.

• “Ask about Sexuality/Identity” – You can ask about the sim’s sexual preference and identity using this interaction
• “Ask about their pronouns” – You can ask a sim about their preferred pronouns with this option
• “Get excited about Pride” – You can use this interaction to hype other sims about pride and more events
• “Encourage to come out” – You can encourage a sim to come out of their closet and reveal their true sexuality
• “Come out as” – You can also encourage your sim or other sims to come out as any sexuality
• “Discuss current LGBT issues” – Use this interaction to discuss current LGBT issues
• “Ask to donate to LGBT charity” – You can ask the person you are interacting with to donate to an LGBT charity
• “Recall Encounter with LGBT sim” – The sim will reminisce about their encounter with an LGBT sim
• “Encourage to be Open-Minded” – You can request the sim to be more broad-minded about people’s sexuality
• “Research about LGBT community” – You can do this interaction on a computer
• “Write an Article” – Also done on a computer; you can write an article about sexuality

Many more interactions are a part of this update, but you will only find them if you explore the mod menu enough. The outcome of these interactions will depend on your relationships with the sims you interact with.

Exclusive interactions are associated with various traits, which is pretty cool! Now we will be looking at the Social events you can participate in as an LGBTQ sim.

Social Events

There are many social events you can participate in as a part of the LGBTQ community. Some of these events are given down below for your reference.

Drag Show

You can participate in this event if you have the DragQueen/Drag King trait. This event is like a competition where you can win money by completing several objectives. You can run the show whichever way you like, giving you creative freedom as points are awarded on a performance basis.

Lgbt Meet-up

You can pair up with the LGBT community to organize or go to an LGBT meet-up. All sims that share the above-mentioned LGBT trait can attend the meeting. The event does not have any rewards and is free to enter, but it is a great way to make friends within the LGBT community.

Lgbt Charity Gala

You can be the host of a charity gala organized for the LGBT community to raise money for the same. You can get a gold medal in this event since it is a goaled one. If you get a gold medal, you unlock the LGBT activist trait, unlocking two interactions: “Discussing LGBT rights” and “Ask to Join Cause,” which you can use to turn sims into activists.

Coming Out Party

With this coming out mod party, You can host a coming-out party to mark the occasion of your sim coming out of the closet regarding their sexuality. This is also a goaled event; if you come out to your friends in a friendly and festival-like environment, you will earn money.

Lgbt Protest 

This event requires you to own the city living expansion pack; all you have to do is invite sims and start a protest. To do that, select a sim and select the ask to join the protest option under the friendly political career to begin. There are no goals in this event.

Lot Traits

These lot traits spawn more lgbt sims in your area, but there are multiple variations. All three variations are highlighted in the given text below.

Gay Hot Spot

This gay traits lot mod will spawn gay sims that your sim resides in. But this lot mod only works if you have given your sim a gay trait. These gay mods are an excellent way for your gay sim to make friends or even find lovers.

Lesbian Hot Spot

These lesbian mods work the same way as the gay ones. It spawns lesbians in your area so that your sim can make friends or turn into lovers. Again it only works if your sim has a lesbian trait equipped.

You can host this holiday by interacting with other sims and making it your own. This is marked as a holiday instead of an event since it comes up once a year. Your sims can gather, celebrate, talk about LGBT issues, and more in this event.

New Aspiration

We highlighted this aspiration quite a while back; it’s the LGBT activist. You can get this trait by getting the City Living and Get to Work pack. This aspiration will allow you to work to improve the situation for all LGBT people in your world. As discussed earlier, start by getting a Gold Medal at the charity gala and convince other sims to join your cause!

Optional Files You Can Download

There are optional files you can download as well.  There is a Homophobia file that is given in the zip file you will download with that link; the link will give your sims Transphobia and Homophobia, so if you do not want your sims to get those traits, delete them from the zip file after the downloading finishes.

You must remember that the traits mentioned above are only meant to act as a catalyst to the story and are made for storytelling purposes. There is also a Sign override that replaces all LGBT signs with sim-type signs during protests.

How to download this Mod

We have provided you with a download link above. Click on it and download the zip file. After it finishes, move it to the mods folder of your game. Extract the files, delete the zip folder you downloaded; also, delete the homophobic trait if you do not want it.
